I noticed the article was very light on the heroin and heavy on the scripts. I checked a county I used to work in, in a few years, they reported no overdose deaths, when I know for a fact there were at least 5 in a two year period...all heroin deaths. But, that doesn’t fit the “oh, you’re overprescribing pain pills!” narrative.
It almost feels like the dot gov has given up on the war on drugs and drug runners and decided to go after the legal stuff.

Just because someone is addicted to the legal stuff, does not mean they are not a junkie.
