In the days since Democrats narrowly lost the fourth special election of 2017, House majority leader, Nancy Pelosi has become the primary target of frustrated Democrats.
Its time for a new generation of leadership in the party, according to Democratic Representative Seth Moulton of Massachusetts.
Representative Kathleen Rice of New York echoed these sentiments in calling for Pelosi and the entire Democratic leadership team to be replaced. We need a vision . . . and we need a message . . . We just dont have either one of those in the present leadership.
Others have complained that theres a level of depression among Democrats and that the party brand is toxic.
Sometimes in politics, a party has to recognize its rivals comparative advantage and shift course accordingly even if recognizing the gross unfairness and sexist nature of it.
It reminds me, in part, of that famous moment that will be familiar to all New England baseball fans. In 2004, Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez, after another shellacking by the hated Yankees, told reporters, They beat me. Theyre that good right now. Theyre that hot. I just tip my hat and call the Yankees my daddy.
Maybe Democrats need to tip their hat to the Republicans and recognize that trying to outrun the GOPs demonization efforts is a losing strategy. And hey, they can always look on the bright side: Thirty-three days after Pedro Martinez made that comment, the Red Sox won the World Series.

Can’t “demonize” an actual demon.
Pass it to know what’s in it!!! Yep, Freepers said that. /s
Oh right, the republicans are behind it. Sure they are.
They are all uniparty. Nanzi is very useful to the uniparty where she is. Lotta fundraising made from here where she is on both sides.
doctored or lied on certification forms which led to the Illegal IslamoNazi Infiltrator in Chief
directly abrogated Congressional rules to force Obamacare down our throats
....
sorry, Boston Globe, but it is really impossible to “demonize” a treasonous agent of Satan
We’re demonizing Nancy Pelosi, and that’s totally unfair. Looks like a big part of that is sexism, misogyny, and anti-female bias too. I’m glad the democrats are not going to give in and remove Nancy from her leadership position. She is the woman every swing-voting woman knows she will never be - and the woman every swing-voting man thinks about when he hears the word “ex-wife” after a friend’s bitter divorce. I cannot imagine a better democrat leader to protect America’s freedom.
Trust me, they’ve known it for a long time. They are tired of losing all of a sudden and have seized the opportunity and found their voices. And boy is it ever going to be a bloodbath . . .
How about:
“Nancy Pelosi is such a POS that even Democrats are realizing it”
Senile Old Socialist who has stolen millions from the taxpayers.
Senile Old Socialist who has stolen millions from the taxpayers.
There is nothing anyone can say to make Pelosi look more stupid and evil than the things she routinely says herself. The leftist morons are all delusional.
Freepers repeated it, because it was such a repeat-worthy classic.
Sadly, Trump and McConnell might be dragging us down a similar road with their current medical patchjob to O-care.
I thought it was Global Warming what made her demon-iced. Or maybe it will make it go away. Hard to keep straight.
This is laughable. The author assumes that there are no good reasons to oppose Pelosi and that the GOP exercises mind control.
Now THAT'S funny!
Pelosi has built her career on demonizing Republicans, so turn about is fair play.
Pelosi is insufferably obnoxious and unbearably conceited and she always has been. Her current troubles with fellow Dems have zippo to do with any successful PR campaign by Republicans. Pelosiâs odious personality served its purpose for decades, and it doesn’t anymore. It’s as simple as that.
Demonize??? Seriously?? We want her to stay right where she is for the next 10 years.
So Kathleen Rice suffers from internalized misogyny?
