If it is in the job description for Supreme Court Justices that they interpret and apply the language of the Constitution....then it seems there is no place for anyone BUT Constitutional constructionists on the court.
Ginsburg will have to be carried out.
Her entire career has been as a strident identity feminist.
She will never willingly allow President Trump to appoint a replacement.
We haven’t seen the Democrats accept yet that Trump won the election.

I have to say that alone would be the biggest triumph of his administration even id nothing else was done, because four SCOTUS appointments would be decades of winning!

I wonder if this would be the occasion for Trump to trot out his sister as a nominee. She’s left of center but is obviously not going to want to vote against her brother on major initiatives.
Think about it. The GOP would be hesitant to vote against Trump’s nominee while Democrats would be hesitant to stop someone who could be the best chance they’ll get.
We are due for a serious realignment of the Court. It has been pushed further and further to the left for decades.
If 1 or 2 originalists are confirmed, we will have the first origninalist and textualist Supreme Court in 70 years.
It is amazing, but yes, the Court has been that bad for 70 years.
Ginsburg will die rather than retire. Since she almost never asks a question from the bench, the other Justices will unlikely realize she died until she misses the afternoon meeting.
Breyer will likely try to hang on for a few years if he can.
Both Ginsburg and Breyer are at or beyond the life expectancy when they were born.
Kagan is the biggest sleaze on the court for not recusing herself in considering the Obamacare appeal in view of the fact that she was assigned to defend Obamacare on appeal as Obama’s solicitor general. She is a political creep.
If Ginsburg was so worried about POTUS and his politics, maybe she needed to retire a couple of years ago so another lib would be appointed to her seat by Ozero.
Now she’s in a situation where she could fall seriously ill and never return and President Trump gets to fill her seat.
Well the People didn’t want her.She lost but keeps coming up with excuses with why it was stolen from her.She had no message and people wanted jobs and other things.Most of the time she didn’t even campaign.She was coughing and passing out.It was if the took it for granted she would be elected.They needed a better canidate.
