Except for offering subsidies, my plan I believe is the most market-based.
Wow! A lot of work and thought went into that. Nicely done.
My ideas have always been much more simplistic, and probably unworkable because of that.
1. Health insurance available across state lines.
2. Tort reform.
3. $1K out of pocket before insurance kicks in.
Provision 3 is the one that will drive costs down as people will start to shop around for better deals and will stop visiting the emergency room or doctor’s office for minor issues.
