What if these states on the ‘bad’ list decided to start charging California a few extra taxes here and there for miscellaneous stuff? One can always make something up to charge for, if your goal is to be just as petty as the libs in California.
IIRC, this is specifically prohibited by the Constitution and falls under the "commerce clause". In fact, I think a case can be made that the "bans" themselves run afoul of that.
