...let’s finally admit that after decade upon decade of taxing and spending and borrowing, Illinois has finally run out of other people’s money.

Sadly, sometimes a family does not face the fact that they are out of money until the sheriff shows up with the eviction notice and they are standing on the street.

It’s taking Venezuela a long time to get there. It will take Illinois a long time to get there. But it will get really ugly in the meantime, as in Venezuela.
