Repeating yourself doesn’t make it true. Reread the previous post since that refutes you.

I don’t hope for an honest investigation, I understand the pointlessness of ANY investigation. All these special prosecutor (and non-special prosecutor “investigations”) things are pure political masturbation. The investigation exists entirely so the Dems can say they tried really hard even though they know it will fail. It’s just like Benghazi and every other stupid ass special prosecutor of the last 50 years. The only way they ever actually damage the president is if the president is a moron and screws with the investigation. Leave it alone and it will die on its own.

I disagree. and its crazy you dont know that the establishment and the uni party is more important to them than party affiliation.

Trump has hired 2 outstanding private attorneys.

And good attorneys have their own good investigators...

They don't need proof. Impeachment votes can come from an opinion. Like former speaker boehner said a month ago, its a political process not criminal... Also when they vote to impeach they do not have to vote on articles of impeachment to vote for impeachment. They can vote to impeach for any reason they want (many moderate republicans voted to impeach Clinton solely on the jane doe #5 juanita broaddrick story that they read in the non-public part pf the star report 2 days prior to voting to impeach).

i don’t think impeachment is the goal - the goal is to win the house back... via “proof” that this Trump admin is a bunch of criminals. I used quotes b/c with the media, Mueller’s team doesn’t need to prove anything. They just leak whatever they decide will damage the administration. For potentially years.

Then, Trump’s admin is slowed more.

For me, i don’t want bogus charges. We’ve had enough of a lawless government interfering in politics.

Maybe Sessions will begin asserting his role in the DOJ to clean up some of the past [IRS targeting, FBI and NSA use for political purposes, unmasking...]

I won’t hold my breath

Your agreement isn’t necessary. The facts are the facts and the facts are clearly obvious that both parties will screw EVERYTHING (especially the country) for the sake of the party. The so-called “uni-party” is simply some people not bothering to understand how party loyalty works.

You got the first sentence right, they don’t need proof. But they do need NUMBERS. And they don’t have numbers. Moderate GOP voted to impeach Clinton because they were GOP and he wasn’t.

“There’s nothing better than having a declared enemy find nothing.”

That is very naive. The idea of the special counsel/prosecutor is to FIND something, anything!

Yes. Their party that congress etc is loyal to is named
Servitude to Leftists and Globalists Indentured After Sex Stings
Or SLAGIASS.
Their jerseys can be alternately red or blue.

It’s already damaging the President’s ability to get things done.

The pointlessness of any investigation is one of the things that would be highlighted in just the discussion of starting another one ... to investigate the other one.

If I knew that Mueller’s team would be honest i’d support it - for just the reasons you state. But since i know that his team is partisan, I know they’ll manufacture evidence against this admin.

Just as bad is that Mueller’s team will cover up the crimes of the previous crew. It is this aspect that is more important to me. Trump is a big boy and can fight back - even if it slows tax reform, etc. But I cannot tolerate the government using its power to affect politics [IRS, spying, unmasking, etc]. Failing to apply consequences for that behavior means it will not only continue but will get worse.

All that said, no other counsel will be appointed. I am only of the mind that it could be helpful.

You’re right. Which actually just helps to show how they’re not thinking. Investigations doesn’t play well with the American people, they see it as revenge and trying to reverse the results. There’s a reason Clinton became the first sitting president in nearly 100 years to gain seats in a mid-term: impeachment doesn’t pay. The Dems already have a serious numbers problem because of which Senate class is up next year, there simply are no seats for them to gain. They’ll probably gain House seats, because that is the norm, unless they grossly misplay their hand... like they did in 2002 making Bush 2 the first GOP president in over 100 years to gain seats in a midterm.

The smart thing for everybody in the Trump admin to do is comply and ignore. Give all the data they ask for, all the interview, don’t comment on it in the press or twitter. Just move on and run their administration. The investigation will play to the Dem base, they’ll love it, but they don’t matter, they were going to vote for whoever gets the Dem nomination anyway. The mushy middle is what matters, and the only time they ever side with investigations is if the administration screws with the investigation.

Check their “Rat Lines”..... what makes them rich and keeps them rich. One of McCain’s “Rat Lines” is none other than George Soreass.
They don’t give damn about Our America. Greedy swamp dwellers...

No, the idea of a special prosecutor is to play to the base and show that they’re trying REALLY hard. They’re pure circus.

It’s not about finding anything, they will manufacture something as they have been attempting to do.

For that, people need to be held accountable!

Not according to members of the GOP house to CNN. The moderate republicans did not want to impeach Clinton because it was hurting the party they thought. Tom Delay got about 50 moderate republicans that were not going to vote to impeach until they went into the room that held the non public part of the star report and read about jane doe #5. they all changed their vote to impeach and 2 days later they impeach clinton in the house.

Only because he keeps paying attention to it. If he’d STFU about it and move on he’d be fine. He should issue one last statement: I will comply with the investigation, presidential council will be handling all the work unless it absolutely necessary, I have work to do and will not allow this investigation that will eventually exonerate me and my administration to be a distraction. And then he needs to actually do what he says. The numbers are on his side, Mueller could get footage of him blowing Putin and pillow talking how to screw the election after and it won’t matter, he will NOT be impeached and it will only effect elections if he misplays his hand. So there’s really no reason for him to care, take confidence in the math and the lessons of history and play the smart hand.

You have altered my position if slightly.

If [a big damn if] Mueller’s team is honest, this whole investigation thing is a big yuge plus. The middle moves further from dems and R get bigger majorities.

If Mueller’s team leaks to continually damage the progress of the administration [which i think is likely], then they will only slow Trump - not stop him - which will still play badly with the middle.

But i’m still stuck on Mueller’s team being used to cover up previous crimes.

So yeah you moved me but I still need someone to hold that last group accountable - or it’s coming back and coming back hard.

I can see Hillary Clinton hoping for this.
