Try the eighteenth word.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
18th word, people
You interpret the term 'people' to mean the same as 'law abiding citizen'? really? In the text of the 20,000+ 'gun laws' ...that shall not infringe BTW...I'm sure within you will see the 'law abiding citizen' clause, but that is NOT in the 2nd Amd. Perhaps you're reading that bastardized version I've seen bantered about. "the people' taken together one can draw from that to mean only 'citizens' -- 'law abiding...' -- not there.
Exercise. Should something catastrophic occur and President Trump issues a call for a rise up of our militias to take back control of our streets/communities, would you expect to perform NIC's on all who come to muster. Would you refuse to muster ranks with only 'law abiding citizens'? Would you be content with the few who would answer that call? What about that 'wife beater', the one who never actually raised his hands to his estranged wife, the one whose otherwise perfect 'law abiding' life was turned upside down, his 2nd Amd. rights trampled by these 'law makers', you going to refuse to muster with that man?
How pure is your 'law abiding citizens' requirement?
You do know that you yourself are guilty of some crime, they just haven't come for YOU, yet. All criminals are not created equally. You don't have to look any further than our Halls of Congress for that last to ring true. Now, they intend to carve out 'special' rights for themselves (the jury is still out on what is actually transpiring, we will have to wait and see), if it's as read, I for one say, f'k that! Most of those clowns couldn't gain a security clearance if their very lives depended on it. Pass a NIC's (infringement if I ever saw one), that's laughable.
