Krauthammer does a good job explaining what is going on in Syria now the the end of ISIS is in sight.
Trump inherited a MESS thanks to Obummer and Shiillary.
Obama and Hillary had about to months to create the policy chaos for Trump.
Trump is also dealing w/ govt landmines the evil Obama planted in Capitol Hill agencies.
Krauthammer is correct about this being the end game. During the campaign, Trump said we shouldn’t have gotten into Iraq, and - having gotten into it - we shouldn’t have left Iraq prematurely.
He criticized both G.W. Bush and Obama.
Trump made the Deep State uneasy. First of all, who does Trump think criticizing the Deep State? Doesn’t he know they’re the experts? And second, what does Trump propose?
Trump said he was going to eradicate ISIS and also that he wasn’t going to tell anybody in advance what specifically he was going to do.
We are now seeing the eradication part. Our side (Free Syria) (with Assad standing back) is beating ISIS in Syria, and Iraq (supported both by us and Iran) is beating ISIS in Iraq.
Assad has twice attacked our side, one time with poison gas and another time with then a second time. Trump retaliated the first time with cruise missiles and the second time by shooting a Syrian plane out of the sky. Assad will not stab the Free Syrians in the back while they fight ISIS.
What about Putin and Russia? Russia has thus far respected the armistice. It hasn’t attacked our side, and we and Free Syria haven’t attacked it. Yes, there are risks involved, both for Putin and for us. But, Putin isn’t a fanatic. We should be able to deal with him. Russia has interests in the region, and they can be accommodated with or without Assad provided we avoid direct conflict.
The Trump administration has already entered into a mutually-advantagous agreement regarding the Arctic, and there are other opportunities for agreements. Russia also has interests with Israel and several Sunni Arab states, in terms of developing oil fields (Israel) and nuclear power (the Sunni Arab states).
Putin, like Trump, can play 3-D chess. As far as I can tell, they and maybe the Chinese are the only ones in the world right now who can.

Trump has two important world allies in the fight against Islam:
Putin sent Russia’s Spetsnaz special forces on bloody revenge missions against local Muslim jihad units.....to punish them for atrocities against Russian troops and civilians.
Putin, a practicing Christian, is consistent——he backed Egyptian president al Sisi in throwing the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.
Putin also backed al Sisi when the Egyptian president vowed to rebuild the churches and Christian businesses destroyed by the Muslim savages.
Onetime Egypt strongman (and Muslim Brother) Morsi has been sentenced to life in prison.
It should be remembered that while Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood were ruling Egypt, Obama and Hillary showered them with praise and provided billions of dollars in aid, arms, tanks and planes.
Egypt has unceremoniously thrown the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.... and hasn’t forgotten the support offered to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egypt under al-Sisi has now charged Obama and Hillary Clinton for conspiring and collaborating with the M/B and advancing their terrorist activities.
Looks like Secy Hillary had to delete Egypt as NOT a partner in her sap-happy foreign policy ally list.

Thanks for reminding me! He could do it in a year. I still have to pinch myself to remember Trump is POTUS - an outsider leading our country. The deep state has been building for decades, greatly aided over the last eight years. It is a gargantuan task to rebuild with people of character, integrity and sense of patriotic duty.

I’m with Trump. Opposing going in does not mean we should get out as soon as possible. Trump did not make this mess. He inherited it. There are risks to getting out as soon as possible, just as there are risks to staying in. Trump said, during the campaign, he was going to eradicate ISIS. He is keeping that promise. Beyond that, he said he was going to preserve his flexibility and the element of surprise.
I’m hoping you’re right but I suspect they will not go down without a protracted fight...
I know Putin has supported the idea that Christianity at some level but I’ve never heard he is a practicing Christian.
