The only thing being investigated before the election was Clinton and her associates.
However, Clinton did make various allegations during the campaign period that Trump was too close to Putin.
Basically my point. Hillary was alledgedly under investigation. We now know the FBI did nothing to investigate and much to obstruct. Meanwhile hillary sends Schiff & Co. into CYA mode by investigating Trump. There was no mention of investigating Trump until this utterance by Schiff. This was during the election and so illegal they won’t acknowledge same.
After the election Hillary makes a public declaration that Trump & Russians were “bad people”. At that point every Agency in the USA investigates Trump. To this day nothing has been found. No one knows what was done between July ‘16 and Nov ‘16. My guess is the NSA, Brennan, Clapper, etc... were illegally spying on the Trump campaign. They unmasked some of his people. Now Schiff acknowledges the DEMS were after Trump the entire time.
