After a day of modest protesting, with 18 eventually arrested (including two reporters), things appear to have settled down.
Would that have happened if Barack Obama was still our president? Somehow, I doubt it, given his obvious need to fan the flames during such “opportunities.”
It was a tragedy that Castile was shot, and it was also a tragedy that Yanez ended up in a situation where he feared for his own safety enough under the particular circumstances that he took Castile’s life.
But to Obama, in every tragedy involving a black man, opportunity seemed to lurk. Good riddance.
I should clarify the above to read “Good riddance to Mr. Obama.”
