I was mostly responding to other posters; however, I too saw Patti LuPone in ANYTHING GOES, at Lincoln Center, had front row center seats, and she was GREAT! Perhaps you saw it on a bad night. *shrugs*

Martha Raye? When did she ever sing on Broadway?

Are you perhaps thinking of Ethel Merman, who may have been "loud", but NEVER off key!

Absolutely right. I was thinking of Ethel Merman, not Martha Raye. Yes, very loud. Quite off key.

So you had front row. Very good. Sometimes the second row is a bit higher and has a better view. But I’d never give back tickets that were first row.

Yes, It was Lincoln Center, Vivian Beaumont Theater.

I have a 7’+ poster sign by McMillan from him. That was a wonderful production. Not because of her.
