If we’ve paid for their education and they seem to be on the road to being decent citizens there’s not much to be gained by sending them back.

You mean, aside from the Rule of Law and Equal Under the same?? How many more ‘tiers’ will we need to split the populace for their ‘protected group’ entitlements?

There is NO way these people can exist/live/work in the U.S. WITHOUT continually violating the Law. Top validation, IMO, is their tax filings: EITC?? Jail, then Buh-bye. Multiple ‘returns’?? Jail, then buh-bye.

I don’t know.

But if you have a ‘dreamer’ who has already received a few hundred thousand dollars of education (or what generally passes for it) at the taxpayer’s expense and actually seems to want to be a good citizen, particularly if they came over here not of their own volition?

If you want everything in black and white, fine, not everyone does in instances such as this. I’m sure there are some who are fine people *AND* we’ve already paid to educate them. Maybe stipulate a term of service in the armed forces....

I wish I was as certain of absolute black and whites in regarding people brought here as children as you and many others...
