“I don’t have a problem with letting some of those stay. They need to become citizens like all other immigrants when they are able/old enough. These cases are exceptions.”

So we’re just telling the world that we don’t have the backbone to say NO. We don’t need more ‘citizens’ that we will have to support and will be loyal to another country. Weak, weak, weak. A nation of church ladies. Suicidal altruism.

Not at all. These are exceptions, they are not part of the problem. No one is going to take them across the border and dump them out in the desert, even if you might want to. Has nothing to do with being weak. I know one that got his citizenship, is a former Marine. And if you could read, you might might read my post through and go over the part where I said they are required to become citizens. My own family migrated here in the late 1800’s from Switzerland and became citizens. Took several years, I still have the documents. I’ll go out on a limb and say that some immigrants can make much better citizens than those born here. Especially some of those in the inner cities. Stopping more illegal immigration is the goal, not trying to find some way to punish kids who have never lived anywhere else. That is just foolish, and accomplishes nothing. Adults or even teens who try to come in illegally should be kicked out immediately.
