Union County must be a not so nice place.
Not now it’s not but in the fifties and sixties (when I was growing up there) it was idyllic, someplace straight out of The Donna Reed Show or Leave it to Beaver. The cancer began creeping up Stuyvesant Ave. from Newark via Irvington and like most other places in Union and Essex Counties, it will never retreat.
By the way, should anyone drive down to Colts Neck to see Mr. Devine, when you’ve completed your mission be sure to stop at Delicious Orchards on Rte. 34 in Colts Neck. You’ll want to try one of their pies, grab a bag of chocolate chip cookies, buy a few trolley buns and a bag of apples. That place is incredible! RIP New Jersey...
There is money in the western part, but the eastern half has deteriorated quite a bit. Kean College is there; that is where a BLM wannabe got six months for attending a rally at the college and sending a threatening email from the library (a false flag operation - a black woman threatening to kill blacks on campus).
