It’s obviously a fishing. When Trump said “I hope” he meant he hoped Comey didn’t find anything. And Comey knew exactly what Trump meant. Until Trump fired his ass.
I’m not certain but I think he was recommended by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the guy who recommended that Comey be fired.
Why isn’t Trump investigating the investigators. He needs a court hearing as Mueller should recuse himself.
The FBI has always been deeply into blackmail, and domestic repression that was not always legitimate. The whole agency is a cult made in the image of its homosexual Wilson era progressive creator.

If that turns out to be true Mueller needs to be arrested by a squad of Marines and tried for treason. You don’t give immunity to someone leaking classified information.
