We don't know if the leaks came from the special counsel. We don't even know if it is a real leak. Maybe it's disinformation from one of WaPo's spies, or WaPo made it up.
It’s either fake or a leak. If it’s a leak, the only sources are Rosenstein and Camp Mueller, and I can picture Camp Mueller keeping Rosenstein out of the loop - after all, Camp Mueller is independent.
I take back what I said about limited leak sources. Mueller met with the Senate Intell Committee today. Warner could be a leaker too. I don’t know which other DEMs were in on the meting.
