Left-leaning friends, please get word out to your side that the violent behavior some are exhibiting, be it in word or effigy or action, is absolutely intolerable across the sociopolitical spectrum. YOU may not agree with their choices, but they are acting on your behalf and should they cross the line you will be lumped in with them as your representatives.
Hodgkinson, Antifa, BLM, Shakespeare in the Park’s Julius Cesar, Kathy Griffin, Hillary “I’m with #TheResistance” Clinton, etc are leading the public perception of Leftist violence as a virtue. YOU need to get the message out that they must stop the revolutionary rhetoric NOW.
I know you hate Trump. Fine. He was legitimately elected, and there are legitimate channels for addressing disapproval. Make sure others don’t drag us into civil war - which many, in fact, approve off and are trying to instigate on your behalf.

You should add a warning: One of the reasons war is very bad is that the innocent suffer with the guilty. People who wish for war with American patriots are foolish and misguided, but I’m not sure they appreciate that they are putting their lives, and their families lives if the have any, in great danger.
A well-considered post, and a good idea for all of us to take a stand in the common-sense, civil manner you demonstrated.
With their reactions to this shooting, many in DC, the media, and entertainment will further reveal themselves in the hours, days, and weeks coming, and have no idea they’re doing so. I suspect some of our friends and colleagues will, too.
