The basic rule when testifying is don't lie. Period. Lying before Congress is a crime. Open and shut. They sit in higher chairs of the star chamber over the one testifying for a reason. They have legitimate Constitutional oversight. Do they abuse it? Of course they do. They are sinners. Failed human beings like all of us. But when you testify you don't have to be subjugated to their filibuster and abuse. You're there to tell the truth. You can do that in any manner you choose to.

Sessions was a Senator. He knows this. But he still allowed himself to be talked over, subjugated, and filibustered. It wasn't a stellar day.

‘But he still allowed himself to be talked over, subjugated, and filibustered.’

You may recall the VP debate. Kaine interrupted Pence ~a billion times. Certain posters were dismayed, claiming Pence wasn’t assertive enough.

But which VP candidate won that debate? Which side saw their poll numbers spike afterward?

Right now Drudge has a screaming header, Sessions Senate Smackdown, followed by, ‘Spy Fiction.’

Sessions, like Pence, did very well. Apart from a small group of rabid moonbats, people don’t care for incessant interruptions. The adult in the exchange ends up the winner.

Lol, bullshit!! With exception of arner and perhaps one or two lib Senators who attempted to bully Sessions (and those to pushed back on) he did an excellent job.

Have no idea what you watched. And BTW, if Sessions saids he was required to recuse himself per regulations then I believe him.

How many times are you going whine about the same things over and over and over again on this thread?

Did you ever bother watching the hearing that you are pretending you know anything about? You said earlier that you just watched a clip of Warner’s pathetic badgering of Sessions. Yet, you are defaming a very honorable man, who did a good, convincing job today in his testimony. He did not allow the hostile fools on the committee to trip him up at all. He responded intelligently and on several occasions forcefully and with conviction. It is obvious that you made up your mind about him long before he testified.

Jeff Sessions is the best attorney general we’ve had since Ed Meese under Reagan. He’s also arguably the most conservative member of Trump’s cabinet. He is as strong as a person could get on illegal immigration and law & order, two of Trump’s biggest campaign issues. Sessions followed the very clear-cut DOJ guidelines to recuse himself since he had been part of Trump’s campaign, but a small minority of very vocal people here are attacking him in ridiculous ways for doing what he, as the leading lawyer in the nation, was supposed to do and for not acting unethically. It’s unbelievable that this should happen to such a stellar conservative and human being.
