Ryan: Trump should let Mueller do his job
The Hill ^ | 06/13/17 | Scott Wong

Posted on 06/13/2017 6:57:21 AM PDT by McGruff

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Tuesday that President Trump should allow special counsel Robert Mueller to “do his job independently” and that Ryan would be “surprised” if the president fired Mueller — a step some Trump allies say is being considered.

"I'd be surprised if he did that," Ryan said in an interview on the “Hugh Hewitt Show.” "I think he should let Bob Mueller do his job, do his job independently, and do his job quickly, because I think that that's what he would want to have happen."

What Ryan is really saying: “They promised me I’d be President once Mueller is through.”

I nominate you for thread winner.

“Ryan ought to shut up and do his own job, not the President’s.”

Well said.

Ryan is misstating Mueller's scope, on purpose.

Everybody wants to get the bottom of Mexican medling in our election (Carlos Slim's NYT), as well as Russian meddling. That is not what Mueller is looking at. Mueller is looking for illegality in the Trump primary and general campaigns, nothing else.

Naming names, Flynn, Sessions, Manafort, and Carter Page. And those investigations are trumped up nonsense.

“From the reports lately, Ryan and most of the congress, were aware Trump was not being investigated, but let the attacks go on for months. If someone did that to me, and I was the President, I’d not be in a mood to cooperate with any of them. I’d be out for blood!”

Trump has a list! In due time, he will exact retribution.

Ryan - always doing a Democrats job inside the GOP - can ignore who Mueller is using in his “investigation” - numerous Clintonistas, but Trump and Sessions ignore it at their peril. Mueller’s “job” was given to him by Comey and that job is “get Trump”.

Ryan is part of the conspiracy to bring Trump down.

(And Priebus is Ryan’s butt boy.)

Trump is supposed to be a smart and shrewd decision maker. If Mueller isn’t there to dispel crappy Russian-administration conspiracy theories, and if he isn’t there to look into the previous administration and a previous Sec.State, then Trump was dumb to promote/allow this special prosecutor in the first place, and deserves to go down if it cooperates in a witch hunt rather than seek real definitive justice

Perhaps Ryan should do his.

He constantly tweets out about how they are going to do this and they have a plan to do that.

How about shutting up and actually executing some of your plans.

Here’s an idea Paul. Lead.

#5: "Paul Ryan is a Democrat. His wife is a huge liberal."

Paul Ryan's district is contiguous with greater Chicago. It is essentially a Chicago suburb. To hear the MSM you'd think his district was in farmland among the moo cows, just a good old Wisconsin boy.

He doesn’t need firing...
Just lay him off....services no longer needed. Ryan is becoming very transparent, tho...about whose side he’s on.

Watched Hannity last night. There is so much corruption, in Washington, I don’t see how Pres Trump can work with them at all. The infestation needs to be wiped out ... they have lived and served like that for years and it’s not how the founding fathers planned. They come on TV and lie with ease.. they are a bad bunch of elected officials who have turned ‘serving the people’ into a ‘get rich club’. Why have we tolerated this for years?! Trump stirred up a hornets’ nest when we elected him... Washington is still in disbelief the man is in the oval office. He’s nothing like them... and he’s trying to do the right thing.... and they hate him! Those 2 things are foreign to the snakes in the grass!

This statement by ryan shows one of two things, or perhaps both:

1) He is absolutely 100% clueless.

2) He just showed he is 100% down to undermine Trump's presidency.

Ryan said. “Let's not forget what this is originally all about. Russia is up to no good. Russia is trying to meddle into our elections.”

But that doesn't mean we need a Special Counsel to investigate Russia. The Justice Department is perfectly capable of doing it.

No one can point to any reason to believe President Trump committed a crime with the Russians.

Comey revealed that they haven't even had enough to open such an investigation on the President. So why the Special Counsel?

This Special Counsel needs to end.

It is Un-American. Our system of government and our Constitution do not contemplate prosecutors doing general investigations of people without any reason whatsoever to believe a crime has been committed by them. This is like something out of the Soviet Bloc.

Keep Mueller on. The ones who stand to be hurt are him and the Clinton operatives.

That's wishful thinking I'm afraid...the Bush\Clinton cabal isn't going to allow that to happen.
