What the colleges do now, is what the government would do if led by marxists.
The humanities and social sciences at most universities are not scholarly endeavors. They are crass propaganda units determined to terrorize, demoralize and delegitimize opposition to their Marxist agenda. Eventually decent people in and out of “academia” will have to confront and destroy this threat to American culture.
why bother going to college, if one has ‘privilege’?? the risk of being falsely accused would seem quite high. Not to mention having to go to class and listen to some far-left windbag bash the ‘privileged’ for 4 years.
The courts have tossed out tenure. Why can’t Duke use that to its benefit and toss out Griffiths?
>>what happens to people at Duke when unsupported charges are leveled against them.
Support? Who need that when progresses have “feelings”.

Big question not addressed
How has Duke suffered?
Another data point proving it’s a waste of time and money to go to college. Take some classes - yes; get a degree - no.
Become a plumber, and invest in real estate near the university. Rent to graduate students, and become a multi-millionaire.
Let the “smart” kids spend $60K a year, for four years so they can sit in a cubicle for the rest of their lives making $40K - until their clerk job moves overseas.

I could not agree more. It’s long past time to give different names to degrees in these joke studies areas. Any STEM grad knows that they undergo far more rigorous studies in order to obtain the B.S. MSc or PhD title. And it galls a lot of us to see some bimbo who couldn’t hold a job at Starbucks utter some inane drivel under the title of “Professor”.
Apologies to all of those who studied lib arts during the times when it was a demanding academic discipline. As we say to Muslims, “clean your damned house” if you want respect.
Very true. Not all PhDs are equal but you can bet your bottom dollar that a legitimate Professor of Mathematics is paid the same as a Professor of Women”s Studies. This is what happens when you worship the god of diversity and “fairness”.
Medical, science, and business professors make much more because they bring in more money to a university. They also have private opportunities for big-money research not available to indoctrinators of PC subjects.
I have a late uncle who made a pretty large fortune with research and patents in engineering and math.
Big mistake. It may not have been in his nature, but he should have stood firm and got loud. Academics are paradoxically the most ideological and narrow-minded people you will meet, but they are often the most spineless too.
That's quite a title! And the existence of such an office is one reason Duke costs in the neighborhood of $75K annually.
There is a definite need to break up the education monopoly. The monolithic thinking that it presents is stifling individuality and trampling on our freedoms.
This goes not only for college-level education, but K-12 as well.
Thanks for the ping Kaslin.
Academia is another swamp that needs to be drained. It is a major breeding ground for future swamp dwellers.
In 1964, the average SAT score of freshmen admitted to UMass-Amherst was 1050. Then they “re-normed” the SAT score by adding 200 gratuitous points. The average SAT score now is 920, or 720 before “norming.”
My pleasure!
Now that is a title, Herr Joseph Goebbels wished had, thought of!
