Controversial onetime convicted terror leader Oscar Lopez Rivera may have declined the Puerto Rican Day Parades National Freedom Award, but he was still at the head of the event Sunday with the City Council speaker right by his side.
Lopez Rivera who did 35 years behind bars for his ties to the Puerto Rican terror group FALN was on the first float out of the gate at the Manhattan parade, and speaker pal Melissa Mark-Viverito hopped on to join him at 62nd Street.
Organizers offered to honor Lopez Rivera in the parade, but he declined after a massive backlash that saw sponsors and pols pull out over his inclusion.
I feel good about being here, Lopez Rivera said in between bouts of pounding his chest and chanting Que viva Puerto Rico! This parade is for the Puerto Rican public.

As we all know, this is about creating two reliable Senate votes, not about what’s right for Puerto Rico.
I have previously posted how the head of the City Council, Ms. Mark-Viverito, has spent most of her legislative time lobbying for PR instead of tending to her NEW YORK CITY constituents. She should definitely be in jail, with charges of theft of services, corruption, and misuse of public funds for starters.
I want to send all the illegal immigrants to Puerto Rico and cut them off. Since they are such great wealth creators they can lift Puerto Rico out of bankruptcy and they wont have to worry about learning English. (I am not kidding.)
The left actively supports terrorists. In this case, it’s to gain more votes in the “Hispanic” government-certified victim group.
Clinton pardoned some of the FALN gang to help Hillary when she ran for Senate.
So Puerto Rico is going to hold a plebiscite, and this time vote for statehood. Let them vote. To allow that misbegotten island the opportunity to join the USA would be madness. They are either on welfare or in New York City, which I suppose is a tautology.
Great them independence and wish the good luck, you are nolonger US citizens...
