To me besides taking down The Donald this is all about Congress trying to convince us we need them to protect us from “ insert you enemy, country, etc” when in fact they are the ones we need protection from.

They know we have been spied upon, and that data used for political purposes, but as long as it keeps them in office they don’t care.

Thats why we heard all the praise to keep the surveillance act in place and nary a word about its abuses..

Exactly! I knew why they started the op but couldn't figure out how they ever thought it would work when its a lie. Doesn't really matter. Now I know. They think they can trick Trump or someone else into screwing up legally somewhere along the line and use that as a victory lap.

Anything for a desperate party with nothing going for them except the media.
