Letters to your Congressman mean absolutely nothing at all.
At best an intern may read your letter and choose one of six form letter responses to send back to you.
(I have sat in my Congressman's office and watched this process.)
As for written letters - a special post office handles Congressional mail. Written materials sent to Congressman are scanned to an electronic format and the original material is discarded for security reasons. (Remember the Anthrax and Parathion letters?)
Your heartfelt and brilliantly reasoned letter will get the same treatment whether send by post or e-mail or website page.
They basically do not care.
I have spoken with my Congressman several times in one-on-one conversations. He is actually quite charming and appears to be greatly interested in what I have to say. It is a well-honed talent. But nothing ever comes of those conversations.
I am sure that if I were a professional lobbyist and came to his office with a 6-figure or 7-figure bundled campaign contribution, I would get more serious consideration.
But I am not, and I don't.

Who is on the bench? Kamala Harris. The Dems are looking for a new generation of talent and they are finding it. Better get wise and stop hallucinating. The next president will be a minority or female put up by the left unless the Trump administration takes off the gloves and like yesterday. There's no room for hoping for successful court rulings. This is a street fight. The Republicans have historically run away from every street fight with the Dems including shutting down the government for even one day. The running is over. These people are serious.
It would just be so cool to watch all the neverTrumpers heads explode every 4 years.
These are the same fools who accused George Bush of downing the World Trade Center on 911 for political gain and lying to get into a war with Iraq where thousand of America’s Best were killed.
And they think Trump has done something worse than that.

The most serious scandal in history, after clinton in the oval office with a teenage girl, is the corruption of the intelligence agencies, the justice department and the rest of the departments under obama and hillary. Never before has our government done such a dive into that swamp as they did under the last President... and the media that follows suit into that swamp... which this article proves...they are all deep in it! and still trying to pin it on the man we voted for and who has been given the chore to empty that pit.

Now we are entering the Twilight Zone of President Richard Nixon. There are the tapes. If you understand Trump language, you will know he said at the joint press conference with Romania’s visiting leader, President Klaus Iohannis, that his answer to the existence of such “tapes” recording will be soon. He hinted that the existence of the “tapes’ is in the positive. The media will be so sad because the answer they want is in the negative. Like Melania, I understand Donald language.
Even though recordings are not longer done with magnetic tape, the word “tapes” is being used. I think it is a obvious attempt to tie Trump to Nixon. However, in President Trump’s case, the “tapes” will be the Excalibur that slays the falsifications in Comey’s memo. I predict that Comey will be indicted for perjury, leaking restricted material (the memo) and slandering the President for revenge. The “tapes” will be verified as supporting evidence at that time when the indictments are issued. When? President Trump said , “Soon!”

I do not want a Civil War but I do not want a Dictator or to be like Venezuela or Cuba. The Democrats along with a few Republicans will overthrow this government if we are not careful. Why the heck does people not realize how afraid of Trump they are?
Me personally I am 78 years of age and I have nothing to lose,my kids and the ones I love in this world will be the ones to pay. I will gladly give my life today for their well being. People do not realize why I keep calling the Democrats Evil. I was that way for most of my life but not for money and power. Evil is Evil regardless of the reason. I am just wise enough to see my evilness or maybe you would say the good Lord just pointed it out to me.
I have friends who are lawyers and they are good wonderful people but the ABA in my opinion is power corrupt and to many time I have seen how the courts operate for those in power.
I do not speak of bare knuckles I can no longer punch my way out of a paper bad. But I do know how to center on vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
