Driver was engaged to Josh Brolin in 2001.[26] In September 2008, Driver gave birth to a son, whom she named Henry, from a brief relationship with television producer Timothy J. Lea.
In 2013, Driver appeared on an episode of the documentary series Who Do You Think You Are?, in which she searched for information about her late father and found that he had had a brother, Leslie, who became an actor in repertory theatre.
On 11 October 2016, Driver revealed that she had been sexually assaulted at the age of 17 whilst on holiday in Greece.
