What the autopsy reveals is that Democratic losses among working class voters were not limited to whites...these white voters’ views on immigration and race are in direct conflict with fundamental Democratic tenets.

I noticed that too, and it shows that despite clear evidence Democrat leaders will never give up the identity politics model even though it's killing them. It really isn't about race fundamentally but they're grimly determined to treat it no other way.

The Democrats don’t have a “white working-class problem.” They have a “working-class problem,” which progressives have been reluctant to address honestly or boldly.

This analyst is correct. I noticed that as soon as I saw the unfiltered numbers from the election returns. And the comment about the alarm over a confiscatory government applies throughout the working class because they're the ones who will be fleeced. An entertainment celebrity who brings in millions a year doesn't care, black, white, or otherwise. A working class stiff does, black, white, or otherwise, because it's his paycheck that's getting gobbled up.

I tried to make this point to some liberal acquaintances the other day and nobody was listening. A guy in the corner I knew from one of my history classes laughs and says very loudly, "You might as well save your breath." Somebody asked him what he meant and he said, "I'm a Marxist. He's a Trump voter. And we're telling you the same thing. What is it going to take for you idiots to [bleeping] listen?" All he got was the cow-eyes. They're not listening.

How bad is it? HERE is an article from a WaPo editor who recommends hospice treatment for the entire white working class. As in, "we know you're dying out and may as well make it as comfortable as possible." Apart from this not-so-veiled reference to managed genocide, the attitude expressed is that of an elitist who feels the future of the country is urban, brown, and dependent. And that portion of the urban and brown population that does happen to be working class moved to Trump for precisely the reasons they're finding it so hard to fathom.

Identity politics is fine for slicing up the economic pie, which is why socialists are so very fond of it, but it doesn't work very well for those who have to bake the pie in the first place, whatever race, sex, sexual preference, or whatever other class distinction du jour is echoing among the cognoscenti in the media. It's all about the paycheck and putting shoes on the kids, guys, and if you're fortunate enough not to have to worry about that you might want to listen to those who do.

So long as you understand that you will bake the pie cake you'll be fine.
