The problem with this approach is that if a Democrat is elected president they will reverse it.
They need to pass a law to stop it from happening in the future.
To get Democrats on board, the Justice Department should have settled one large case and have the proceeds go to the NRA.

Trump’s consistent failure to articulate the principles of conservative American ideology - and its defense, is going to be a problem in that context.
He has to better make the case for what he’s doing. People need to understand it to be able to argue in defense of it and keep the inertia in favor of conserving America.
Polarizing the herd ala “stupid leftard” insults won’t facilitate the conservation of anything.
And it will all get fixed.
They can pass all the flipping laws they want to pass....
But until these "laws" get enforced...nothing gets solved.
