The “JV Squad” quagmire continues.
Afghanistan has been very quiet since we dropped one there.
Like Mosul? So this should take a year or so? This should be flattened by artillery and iron bombs and taken by heavy formations.
But our low end generals will make this an infantry vs infantry fight, and ending with a negotiated withdrawal of ISIS forces.

We are using these “Syrian democratic forces”. (in modern government speak, the title always means the opposite)
The bottom line, is that this is one of those rare times in humanity when a devastating, crushing, insulting blow needed to be dealt. The whole world could have been taught a valuable lesson. This place didn’t just need another rabble to defeat them. A shocking example needed to made of this place.
Instead, it will be piecemeal, and they will disperse all over Europe, and our State Department will bring as many as possible here.
Then the real fun begns.
