Trump may not be perfect but at least he discerns reality. He is most bitterly opposed by the politically correct delusional Left. They will not or cannot admit that at the core of jihadist terrorism is Islam. The 9/11 terrorists, the barbaric jihadists and over three thousand documented suicide bombers were all motivated by Islam and went to their deaths and murdered believing they would be rewarded with some sort of pleasant afterlife. The Left thinks they can use these lunatics to destroy Western culture and capitalism. The West faces an existential crisis. It is under assault from the bizarre within and alien barbarians. Throughout history the generals and leaders who won the critical battles had flaws and personalities that may have been even repulsive. But in the final analysis they were remembered for their accomplishments. The Left must be defeated for the West to survive. Trump now commands and despite his flaws must have the support of decent people.
Trump, whatever one thinks of his true relationship with Conservatism, or his elegance of speech, is the only man to have been running for President who is capable and possibly willing to do what is necessary to bring America back from the abyss. I think there is only a small chance he will do those things that must be done but no one else among those who ran or might have run is either capable or understands.
The Islamist rabble have not yet pissed off enough non-Moslems, but they are getting closer to that mark with every passing day.
One is reminded of President Jefferson’s reaction to the Barbary Pirate situation in 1803 - The Moslem pirates finally pissed him off and he sent in the U.S. Marines to take care of business.
I believe (and hope and pray!) that President Trump is about ready to emulate President Jefferson.
Islamic terrorism has got to be terminated with extreme prejudice!
And President Trump is the man to do it!
“Trump may not be perfect but at least he discerns reality. ...”
Well said.
I have no major objection to this article, nor to Prager’s previous article, nor to Dennis Prager himself.
One poster in an earlier post responded to never Trumpers: we held our noses and voted for Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain; now it’s your turn. Basically, I agree.
Had there been a “never McCain” movement, I would have rejected it. I feared that a President McCain might have done more harm to conservatives than a President Obama. But I just can’t vote for a left-wing socialist President, leading our left-wing socialist party. Just don’t go there. “Lead us not into temptation.”
I don’t take Trump as the measure, as in, “anything he does is OK.” I have my standards. So far, by my standards, he has done a great job.
