Thanks for the info. Virtually every US Army division that fought in the ETO suffered horrendous causalities. For me the most heart breaking story is The Hurtgen Forest Campaign. In my opinion Eisenhower and Bradley and almost all the American High Command really didn't give a damn about their men's lives.
