United States Acting Ambassador at the U.S. Embassy in London Lewis Lukens commended London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Sunday, the day after another terror attack on the United Kingdom left seven dead and many more injured, and just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump had tweeted criticism of the London Mayor.
Lukens is currently the Acting Ambassador for the U.S. in the U.K. He took over after the departure of Ambassador Barzun. Lukens served as the State Departments Diplomat in Residence for the Northwest at U.C. Berkeley from 2014-2016 under the Obama Administration.
Londons first Muslim mayor issued a statement in which he informed Londoners that there is no reason to be alarmed as the city increases its police presence in response to Saturdays terror attack.

I'm speechless, so I better just wait before commenting further, except to wonder, what can one say when the Mayor of a former ally transforms the symbol of Great Britain from a lion to a weasel?
Time for some serious reflection and sober thinking before expressing what I really feel.
People of Britain: my deepest condolences, and courage to the survivors of the last threat to their existence from modern barbarians within my lifetime, a mere 72 years ago...
I hope that an immediate and swift exception can be made to the ban of capital punishment for this most egregious example of highest treason in the history of your country.
