MSNBC anchor Richard Lui asked a law enforcement analyst guest Saturday if there was a risk of "overreaction" from authorities responding to terrorism during coverage of the attack in London, Mediaite reports.
Seven people were killed and dozens were injured in an attack Saturday by three men on London Bridge and nearby Borough Market. According to BBC, the terrorists rammed a van into pedestrians on the bridge and then got out, wielding knives and stabbing civilians. The assailants were later killed by police.
As images of the police response to the terror attack played out on MSNBC, Lui asked guest Jim Cavanaugh if, in his experience, there could be an excessive amount of force used by law enforcement for such incidents.
"When you have analyzed these incidents post facto, as well as during there's certainly a risk of under-reactionbut is there any risk of overreaction, of deploying too much?" he asked. "You know, as we've been watching all of this live coming into our satellite center here in New York City and then beaming it out from London, is there ever a point where you go, Well, that's too much,' or You shouldn't be applying that amount of force there.'"

“.. [and then he pondered] You shouldn’t be applying that amount of force there.’”
idiot
MSNBCs Richard Lui asked a remarkable question: could the London police be overreacting?
They may authorize people to carry firearms so they can defend themselves.
HA! Sometimes I say the craziest things.
islamist facilitators everywhere. We’re going to have to get serious about this scourge.
Let’s suppose that a British Catholic walked into a mosque and killed seven people. Would MSNBC demand that Muslims not over react? I am thinking they’d be leading the lynch mob looking for British Catholics.
Well, Mr. Lui, picture yourself with your loved ones standing on the bridge with a van running down pedestrians, and then men with long knives pop out and start stabbing people in front of them and you’re next. What level of force would you call “excessive”?
Yeah, of course. The right reaction, according to the left, is to lower one’s pants bottoms and present arse, and say “good. can I have another?”
The left wants muzzies to become strong and to wipe out what little civilization we have left.
MSNBC would wonder about the risk of an overreaction after Pearl Harbor.
This idiot Richard Lui should ask the relatives of those people murdered that stupid question to their face, he just might not fare well.
Since they only had knives, why didn’t the cops shoot them in the legs instead of killing them? /s
I have the same question for all these Muslim sympathizers.
“How Many More Innocents Have To Die So You Can Feel Tolerant?”
My living God....”overreacting”(!!!!)
The real question is: is there a risk of Liu, MSNBC, CNN or the rest of the media ever getting a clue as to what is going on in the world?
Let ISIS blow up MSNBC and see if they have the same reaction
The answer is to the question is no. No risk of overreacting whatsoever. None.
Please, Please Please!!
“There is a greater risk of “under reaction” thanks to idiots like Richard Lui.”
I could not agree more. Seems to be a lot of idiots on MSNBC and CNN.
In Britain the reaction will be to limit the carrying of knives, install more cameras, put all people through metal detectors when transitioning from area to area.
They will not look more closely at Muslims and stop and question them and their conduct.
As Ann Coulter once said about profiling — there is a point where the description ceases to be a prejudice or a profile and becomes the DESCRIPTION of the Perpetrators.
