As basically sloppy an operation as the Rich murder was, I have to think that it was more of a whim exercised by the Clinton campaign/DNC in a moment of gross overconfidence.
From the reaction(s) to any inquiries, I'd suggest that any honest investigation would lead directly to not only Rich's murder but a whole lot more.
May just be a good time to revoke that Old School schtick about newly elected officials treating their predecessors as honorable and not indulging in criminal investigations against them.
