Can criticism of a President go too far?
Kathy Griffin’s photo shoot with controversial photographer Tyler Shields in which she is shown holding a bloodied mask of Donald Trump that makes it look as if the President was beheaded has ignited a firestorm of criticism.
But Dan Gainor, VP Business and Culture for the Media Research Center, said Griffin's stunt was par for the course.
"Kathy Griffin has long gone too far -- even kissing the crotch of CNN anchor Anderson Cooper during a New Year's Eve show," Gainor told Fox News. "She's a shrill, low-talent has-been begging for attention."
Gainor said Griffin is just one of scores of Hollywood celebrities who are out of touch.
"From Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep to Captain America's Chris Evans, entertainers have become an isolated elite who care nothing about offending their audiences," he said.
And Griffin isn’t the first -- or second, or third -- celebrity who has joked about physically harming President Trump.
Many other Hollywood stars have been vocal about their dislike for Trump, and have taken their words so far as to wish him bodily harm.

Everyone is missing the boat here in that it wasn’t her idea, it was Tyler Shields’s idea. And with a shoot like that, it is almost always the idea of the photographer or an art director.
Tyler Shields will be remembered for the photograph, but not blamed. It wasn’t even Kathy’s idea, but she will be ruined and forgotten.
Seems the reason liberals were always calling us ‘haters’ is because that’s who they are... it was always projection. Also, doesn’t it seem like they’re mentally unglued?
I wonder when the first museum will fork over $10,000 for an “Art print” of the image.

Making a "joke" out of the beheading of Nick Berg (and others) is the equivalent of doing holocaust jokes.
This is something one would never do in public.
I really cringe when I think of the family and loved ones of the real Americans who were beheaded by terrorists having to see that picture.

I am a George Carlan fan. I always admired the amount of thinking that he put into a topic and there was a logic point to his humor. With Griffin, it’s the humor of a 12-year old brat...which is OK for maybe five minutes, but we are going on almost twenty years of the same stagnant and stale act now. She has no real aspects of humor.
