Actually, it think it was Oak Park that closed East-West streets that ran into the city of Chicago a long time ago because there was some concern about the people who lived in the Chicago neighborhoods bordering Oak Park. Big local scandal for a while.
A long time ago, Mike Royko wrote that the unofficial slogan of the Chicago City Council was “Ubi Mea”, which is Latin for “where’s mine?” Sounds like things have not changed much.
Hey Chicago, you need to do something ILLEGAL to be impeached - like murder.
Oak Park has shifted dramatically. It used to be a Republican suburb decades ago. Today it is solidly leftist.
Ya see, that’s not just being a kid.
I did a lot of bad things in my late teens and even early 20s.
Wanted to be John Gotti until I found out I wasn’t violent and and didn’t want to go to jail :)
Stole some things i wish i hadn’t and if i got shot i would have had it coming, but NEVER hurt or even THREATENED to hurt someone.
