Her stunt did not arise in a vacuum. She did it because she thought it would be appreciated.

In recent months we've seen video of parents urging their children to smash and dismember Trump piñatas, we've seen the obscene signs and placards, we've heard it's ok to "punch a Nazi," we've heard a major entertainer fantasize about blowing up the White House, we've heard pundits and celebrities make incest jokes about Trump and his daughter, we've seen protesters smash windows and intimidate speakers, we heard Colbert's "cock holster" comment, and so forth.

Griffin just took it one notch further. She was probably surprised at the reaction; I know I've been surprised, because - regarding Trump - the attitude has been "anything goes," and the more vulgar, so much the better.

I am waiting for Trump to signal, a wink and a nod, to the right wing militias to take out the trash. It will be over in a week. And it WILL be appreciated in this sense: the leftist haters will see her as a martyr. She spoke what is in their hearts and got slammed for it, but they don’t blame her for hating Trump. They celebrate hating Trump. They will continue to support her and help her.

The level of sickness it took to smear “blood” all over that mask and up into the hair is just appalling. Even the leftist liberals were shocked by the accurate portrayal of the hate in their hearts. For a moment, they had to look at who they are.

Even my liberal Facebook friends had to slam Trump while they denounced Griffin. They couldn’t just say it was disgusting, they had to add that they find Trump disgusting too. I think they honestly don’t see how twisted with hate they’ve become. And most of my liberal friends just ignored the whole fiasco. Deep down, they sympathize with her.
