Note that the original NYT article says “he is under scrutiny in a federal investigation into whether there was collusion with Russian officials during the presidential campaign”, which is false on the face of it.
Trump was President-Elect when the transition team made well-precedented and very legal efforts to have communications that weren’t compromised by the Obama Administration.
The NYT is publishing serial fiction.

Not me. I don’t accept the MSM premise that the Trump White House is full of leakers. Instead, I believe the Deep State is in an all-out effort to have Trump lose faith in those around him by manufacturing a false narrative that his inner circle cannot be trusted.
