The article says “These camera detectors use infra red strobe reflections to find all types of covert cameras no matter if they are on or off.”
Infrared radiation is invisible.
“Infrared radiation is invisible.”
It’s just part of the electromagnetic spectrum our unaided eyes can’t see. IR cameras are available, as are ones that detect UV.
To the human eye, not necessarily to detection devices. And, if you are flashing IR you might use a broader range of frequencies that overlaps the visible spectrum (most likely scenario if this was a camera sweep). Also, filters for various frequencies of light can alter those frequencies while blocking and reflecting them, making camera lenses reflect in the visible range. Lots of different things could be going on.
“infrared radiation is invisible.”
Don’t let facts muddle the story.
The State Department was, and likely is, searched routinely by Marines trained and in training to spot bugs and cameras. They do such work at embassies abroad.
Shhhh. Don’t confuse them with facts
Maybe someone painted that office with a laser designator, and a warning system was activated. Did any countermeasures respond?
