Does Germany pay for the US troops stationed in Germany? I’m not trying to be contentious, I just don’t know.
Germans used to pay housing and some other costs during the cold war for sure. It was always way way less
money to keep a unit in Germany versus home
since the cold war I among certain, US military has a rather small force in Germany these days compared to 1979 at least. I think it’s mainly support and logistics and air force, but haven’t kept on top of it.
