In the early 1980s, when I first heard about "social justice", and "afflicting the comfortable" to "comfort the afflicted", there was also a news report about the elderly being "over-housed", and young couples being "under-housed".

I wondered how long it would take for them to put the elderly on their hit list in the name of "social justice".

The "education" racket is insatiable for little to no return. It would be ironic if the over-housed occupant spouse was a former teacher.

I’ve always thought the next Dim president we have for 8 yrs, God forbid, will get us closer to the point where they say, “Hey GnuThere, we can’t help but notice you’ve got a home there of XYZ sq feet; we really feel it would be better utilized by a welfare family of 10, so we’ve decided to give you 50 cents on the dollar for it. Of course you’re welcome to stay put, if you can pay the 10x increase in your property taxes...”
