Under normal circumstances, with full backing of a GOP Congress, of course, Not even a question.
But you must remember Trump is fighting ALL the Democrats and at least one third of the Republicans PLUS the FBI and the CIA holdovers and the entire media. So, no, battle lines cannot be clearly drawn because he would have to be calling out congressmen (like Chaffetz, a disgusting opportunist) and Ru Paul and senators like Yertle which could very easily push over enough votes to start impeachment.
Trump is in a race, not with the Deep State, but with the economy. If he pushes the economy fast enough and far enough, slowly the enemy elements will be weeded out. I do NOT think he is in a position to wage war against the courts or ever all of Congress yet. He is Washington, fighting a Trenton or a Princeton, then moving to another battlefield until his WHOLE army can be brought up.
But he also has we torches and pitchforks, which the deep state fears, as we literally are a rifle behind every blade of grass. The Police Depts, and Miliary back him. All he has to do is throw the match.
Agree. He must bide his time as he consolidates his power. But whenever he has the power to act on a given problem, I believe he must do so.
To leave the Swamp in any kind of position of power would be a grave mistake, IMHO. President Trump must steadily dismantle the Swamp, bit by bit...
Trump won 230 CD's and ~30 states. That's worth something if he needs to play hardball with Congress.
