Not always as easy as it sounds.
You can only ask so many questions and if a person hands you a SS card you pretty much have to accept it as you can get a discrimination charge levied at you.
‘We’ aren’t the only smart ones...Say a guy named Jose Martinez gives you a SS card, ‘doesn’t speak much English’ and you - so you don’t get fined - Check him out and sure enough THAT Jose Martinez and his brother HoseB were born in Detroit ..... That will bring the govt & ACLU & anti discrimination groups down on you....
So the BIG catch is that you can’t really check them out yet when biggov drops in on you, break out your checkbook.

Turning towards RFK he says ‘Been waiting for you - I have 1000 employees and you say 200 have to be approved minorities’ he turned to his secretary and said
‘I have marked ALL the minorities with a red pen. Since I have 450 minorities, start with the A’s and fire the first 250 checked names so I can get within the Government Guidelines’.
