A good win-not big. I would have liked to have seen a younger manly-man or a looker female. That congressional seat should be a stepping stone to the senate and this guy is too foliclly challenged + old.
_______________
A 7-point win in an under-populated state with tons of outside money, much bravado and a set-up *assault* is not big? Especially when most of the population live in three liberal cities and the countryside has been slowly bought up by billionaires? Sorry, that’s called a WIN.
Gianforte is very masculine. Bull-necked, bullet-headed and with the balls to finally react against a crybully journo who asked for a beatdown. Male pattern baldness is actually a signal of testosterone. He’s only 56. Maturity is not senescence. He exudes confidence, while his opponent, ten years younger, exuded smarmy over-confidence.
Montana is a 2018 Senate target and we’ll have to see how that goes. This, however, was a solid win and should be celebrated. Gianforte supports Trump. The Dems have nothing to cheer about, but I’m sure they’ll find something.
I must say I giggled when I heard the journalist exclaim “You broke my glasses!” I haven’t heard dialogue like that since the old Dobie Gillis Show.
