Well sadly seeing that some Freepers are of the “money talks, principles walk” mind set. Maybe I can help you out with your dilemma.

If you have USAA for Auto Insurance. Check out Wawanesa if they service in your neck of the woods and you have a good driving record. I pay $93 a month full coverage for two cars with a $300 deductible and high liability coverages if I’m ever at fault. I’d be surprised if they don’t have better rates than USAA. Homeowners is competitive as well

Thanks for that info. It makes a far more effective threat when specifics are provided.

USAA is one of the highest insurance providers around. GEICO is better and I went away from GEICO years ago. What you did not state in your post were the details of your cars. I could have two cars and have full coverage a lot lower based on the attributes of the cars and the drivers. There is a lot more to a premium than “just having a car or two” like multiple policy discounts, safe driver discounts etc. All of that factors into the premium you pay.

I recently compared my homeowner insurance versus USAA and checked each time I refi’d my home. In every case, USAA was not just more expensive but less overall coverage to boot. I refuse to have anything other than a checking and savings account with them if I ever need it.
