You either stop doing business with them or you stop pretending your account will give you pull when you offer a “complaint”.
They still get your money. They aren’t your friend that will lose sleep because you wag a finger at them.
Here’s the thing...I went through three different companies from 2008 to 2013, and found they were either incompetent or lacked any customer-care capabilities. “Losers” would be a good term to use for them (Prudential, Schwab, and Fidelity). I did a fair amount of research and found USAA one of the few that everyone seemed to appreciate.
They aren’t my friend, and I really don’t care for some bank or insurance group to be my friend. I just want someone who can be relied upon to conduct business, as advertised, and not screw up. Faced with the losers out there...giving up on them because of this one fault would be a hard choice. I don’t regard Geico as a trusting organization (having messed around with them in the 1990s).
