They should. Because aside from the crime itself, they are destructive of all our community ties, and are spreading hatred.

The guy in this story is not the only one, or the worst. I am convinced that the story reported in the following link is 100% fake, and the “injuries” are the work of a film make up artist. The complainant works in the film industry.

Exactly, this was a pre-meditated hate crime designed to promote hatred of Donald Trump and his supporters. Misdemeanor my ass.

Yes, they should. They are every bit "hate crimes" as much as what they are alleging, because they employ false testimony to implicate an entire group of people.
