There’s a 1965 law that says immigration policy can’t discriminate based on religion.

The argument is that the 1965 law supercedes the 1951 law that gave the president total leeway.
supercedes = supersedes
Just some poor, innocent refugee trying to make a better life for himself stricken down with SDS (Spontaneous Detonation Syndrome).
There were 50 Majority Muslim countries represented at Trump’s speech. Did anyone notice the seven that were not invited?......
I think we are well past the point of some obvious radical entering this country with the specific intent to do harm. It’s not the unemployed dudes throwing rocks on the West Bank doing these things.
It’s really not even the era of the 9/11 hijacker any longer - “elite college students” who are secret radicals.
The future is now, and the future is second generation, home grown children of hard-working, non-radical parents who become radicalized online.
If this stuff starts happening in the US on the regular - and there is little reason to doubt it will - it will be people who are 14 and 15 years old today and who were born in this country.
By the way, I don’t think this is an issue specific to Islam. The most vicious mobsters were the children of immigrants from Italy and Ireland - not the immigrants themselves for the most part. Their parents were too busy working to be real criminals.
The same is true for the most vicious of the Latin street gangs.
Here’s how to fix it: Stop ALL immigration, legal or otherwise dead cold and tell the world that the DEMOCRATS and their paid for judges are responsible.
When the usual suspects start howling, you simply tell everyone that if the Dems relent and allow COMMON SENSE profiling, immigration can begin again.....lay it ALL at the Dems’ feet.
I've had people in law enforcement tell me that the biggest problem this country faces in terms of "terrorism" is a generic male loser in the 15-40 age range. They've said the mental/emotional pathology at work in the 9/11 hijackers was identical to what you saw with the assailants at Columbine.
We're eventually going to get to the point where a society will be unable to exist unless all of its members actually believe in hell.
I’m not sure about the believing in God thing, but nearly all crime is committed between males ages 15 to 40.
Historically, revolutions tend to occur when the male population in the age group is too large and too unemployed.
There is a school of thought among historians that governments intrinsically knew that an invasion of another country was the best thing to do with young males. You culled the population and gave the young men a purpose/job.
Islamic terrorism is going to become a home-grown issue very soon, if it’s not already. You have bored young men who are caught between a traditional Muslim upbringing and the decadence of the West.
The one plus that we have is that the US traditionally is far far better at assimilating immigrants. I don’t think that we have huge housing projects filled with young Muslim men getting a government check like so many European nations do.
It is harder to become a terrorist when you have a job, family, etc.
