Former FBI Director James Comey will speak privately with Robert Mueller, special prosecutor in the Russia probe, prior to testifying in public before the House or the Senate.
House Oversight Committee Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said that decision of Comey's means he would delay a hearing he had planned for this week.

The words “outrageous” and “inappropriate” are competing with each other for primacy in my mental description of this event.
Oh look, ANOTHER “leak”. This comes immediately on the heels of a “breaking” story that Trump has uncovered some leakers.

President Trump asked two of the nations top intelligence officials in March to help him push back against an FBI investigation into possible coordination between his campaign and the Russian government, according to current and former officials.
Trump made separate appeals to the director of national intelligence, Daniel Coats, and to Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency, urging them to publicly deny the existence of any evidence of collusion during the 2016 election.
Coats and Rogers refused to comply with the requests, which they both deemed to be inappropriate, according to two current and two former officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private communications with the president.
Trump sought the assistance of Coats and Rogers after FBI Director James B. Comey told the House Intelligence Committee on March 20 that the FBI was investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russias efforts.
Trumps conversation with Rogers was documented contemporaneously in an internal memo written by a senior NSA official,
This is absolute corruption.
More bad news at link......
Sorry, didn’t see you had already posted the lovely news......
Well, Mueller is assigned the job of picking up and completing the investigation that Comey described during a Congressional hearing. for short, I refer to that investigation as "Comey's investigation," even though he is only the messenger as to its existence, to the public, via Congressional hearing.
Mueller wants to pick up that investigation, and no more than that investigation. It's in Mueller's interest to narrow that scope as much as possible.
Comey is no way relevant, let alone "of interest" to the investigation of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government
Trump isn’t an idiot. Yet these sources of sources keep “leaking” shit like this. Oh, and everyone has a memo of every word that President Trump utters.
NSA keeps popping up regularly.
WHY WHY WHY! Does this not negate honest testimony?
Comey and Mueller worked together in March 2004 to undermine Ashcroft’s authority as AG and to undermine the NSA at the behest of the CAIR-and-Communist crowd.
Everyone out there who has ever been on a jury selection panel and been told that they would be disqualified for having a personal relationship with any of the litigants raise their hand ....
'nuff said
NY Times will be screaming against this! No?
If he is to meet before they have already meet before. THIS STINKS! The real question is if they have meet before who leaked this. I suspect that the vast majority of the FBI are patriots. All at the top are suspects!
Mueller is special counsel, not special prosecutor
Big difference.
If he is to meet before they have already meet before. THIS STINKS! The real question is if they have meet before who leaked this. I suspect that the vast majority of the FBI are patriots. All at the top are suspects!
Why doesnt Comey just put down the shovel?
Is he trying to steal the crown from Hillary for most despised person in the country?
sorry about the double post.
RuhRoh!
Either that, or Comey will tell him not to the investigate him.
Coats is a cabinet member, **Serving as the principal adviser to the President, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council for intelligence matters related to the national security; Serving as the head of the sixteen-member Intelligence Community; and. Overseeing and directing the National Intelligence Program.
It just seems that Coats would be a weird choice to have go out and “push back” publicly, so why would Trump ask him? Not that I think he did. But then again, President Trump is out of the country on a MASSIVELY SUCCESSFUL trip and cannot defend himself on this.
