“Why? What is there on Mars that we don’t have here?”

Same reason some people sailed endless deadly seas in search of the “New World”

More space, more raw materials and a backup settlement in-case of an unavoidable strike (or other disaster) here on Earth.

I believe within a few generations we will prove time/space is an illusion that can be bent with the right technology. Then soon after will travel to different galaxies in the blink of an eye.

For the same strange reason people always want to see what’s over the next hill...
