officials said he applied using a false name and that he had been removed previously and then had returned here illegally, making him ineligible for a green card, according to ICE.

Now, his family and an attorney representing the Mexican Consulate in San Bernardino are trying to figure out what happened to the man they describe as a hard-working husband and father with no criminal record.


Anyone else see the logical disconnect here? On the one hand, he had been in trouble with ICE before, using an alias, which is against the law. And then on the other hand, they say he has no criminal record. So which is it? Didn’t he violate the law, and thus have a criminal record,due to his illegally using an alias before?
